The Beaches of Karpathos.

 

Xenonas.

The gulf of Pigadia, capital of the island, boasts three beaches, the first of which is Ammos - Xenonas. Relatively small in size, you will find that is is fully organizes with taverns, canteens, umbrellas, deck chairs, but also the cool shade of trees. Shallow clear blue water and sand are the best way to acquaint yourself with Karpathian waters...




Afoti.

The beach of Ammos - Xenonas continues down to the beach of Afoti, boasting the marble columns of the early Christian basilica of Agia Photini. It is the second beach of Pigadia and also offers an array of taverns, umbrellas and deck chairs. It is a good solution for the days that you want to stay close to the capital.



Vrontis.

As we head to Aperi, we find the beach of Vrontis, the last of three consecutive beaches on the gulf of Pigadia. Protected from the winds, this long beach offers white sand amd shallow emerald waters. It also has the necessary infrastructure for families, with umbrellas, deck chairs, drinking water and taverns.



Ahata.

Deep blue waters and fine pebbles create the picture of Ahata. On the beach you will find snack bars, and for shade you will have umbrellas and trees. Ahata is 16 km from Pigadia and 4 km from Aperi.
